Watching “Saving Private Ryan” and thinking about all the people who have given their lives to preserve our Democracy, contrasting with the traitors in congress, particularly on the republican side, who have sold their souls to the wealthy at the expense of the People, I wonder what it was all for. And wondering if it’s over, gone – lost forever.
I know that most readers, visiting this page will be surprised that I am down on republicans and not the othe party. The reason is simple: when you’re being chased by a tiger, you don’t worry about the mosquitos. True mosquitos carry potentially fatal disease, but when the hot breath of an efficient predator is baring down on you, you worry about thing like that later.
The disparity of wealth in America has lead to the end of our democratic experiment and while both parties bow at the alter of big bucks, only one carries their water. The irony of the Tea Party, to me is that it was formed as a reaction to the Wall Street excesses, but is funded by the wealthiest among us and has been controlled and lead astray by that monied interest. Lowering taxes for the wealthy should never have been the mission for anyone interested n perpetuating democratic government.
While there is heavy debate as to the role and significance of government in our lives, I assert that taking care of the least among us, securing and increasing the quality of life for us all, is the sole function of any government.
I can debate this all night, but the bottom line is, it is all about to come crashing down. The middle class, which made us the most powerful economy in the history of the planet is waning by the day and the wealth and power in America is becoming increasingly hoarded by an elite few, as we fight among ourselves about petty things.
My purpose in writing this, is solely to provide an introduction to the Web Site. I do not believe that any percentage of enlightened citizens can change anything. This Site was not created to expound my beliefs or organize change, but to provide the information necessary for you to protect yourself and your family when it all falls apart.
